I have been using Microsoft Picture It! Premium 10 (mpi10) with Windows XP for quite some time until just recently when I bought a new computer with Windows 8.1. However, when I tried to install mpi10 on my new computer, I realized the two weren't compatible.
I really like mpi10, & I work with pictures quite often. Question is... is there a way to make it compatible, or is there another photo editing software that it compares with, that is compatible with Windows 8.1, & that I can download from your site?

Yes, as per the compatibility status on Windows Compatibility center is concerned, Microsoft Picture It is not compatible with Windows 8.1. Refer to the link to get the details:
However, in Windows 8.1 Operating System, you can use Windows Live Photo Gallery in place of Microsoft Picture It:

Photo Gallery does NOT do what Picture it did. You are very limited to the editing you can do with your photos in photo gallery. Microsoft has cheated us by not making picture it compatible with windows 8.1!!!!!!!!!!!! I am deeply disappointed, as I use picture it all the time to edit my photos. Now I can't edit them!!!!!!! Very upset about this.
Beware of downloading from "Get Wet paint". I received Malware from the site and now have to reinstall my whole system, because I cannot get desktop temperature monitor off my pc. Thanks Barb

I quite agree SusanFreitas you pay good money for a product/software, and the same company don't keep it up to date, compatible with other types of OS's is not professional. I urge MS to rethink on updateing Windows etc 'Piture It!' was sorry IS a good software (if working) to have I have loads of pictures and projects via P-It and unable to use or work with them cos of this problem with compatiblity...!!!

Yes, I totally agree. Photo Gallery does not begin to do everything Picture It did. I've looked for a comparable tool, but have not been able to find it. I also feel cheated by Microsoft!
