My BlueTooth disappearance on windows 8.1 :O

I have a Toshiba Satellite C50-A172 and Bluetooth acpi chipset

When I had upgraded from Win 8 to Win 8.1 pro

Bluetooth File Transfer used to work alright on Windows 8, but now, I can't even see a 'Bluetooth' option anywhere. NO WHERE AT ALL. I've searched the net for this so much but no real ******* help.

I've typed 'Bluetooth' in the search-box. Nothing related to it, anywhere. Nothing showing up about it in the search.

There is no Bluetooth option in Settings>PC & Devices or anywhere in Settings.

Checked Device Manager and under System Devices and show Hidden drivers , I couldn't find 'Bluetooth ACPI' listed. The drivers are up to date, it says.

What am I supposed to do To get work bluetooth again

Hi Mohammed,

I would suggest you to follow these methods and check if it helps.

Method 1:

Updated drivers might be available through Windows Update. When you check Windows Update, click View available updates to see if an updated driver is available for your device.

Refer:

Keep your PC up to date with Windows Update

Method 2: If that does not help, I would you check if Bluetooth Support service is started.

a. Press Windows key + R, type services.msc and press OK.

b. Now, find Bluetooth Support Serviceand start it and set it as Automatic.

Method 3:

I would suggest you to download and install the latest Bluetooth drivers from manufacturer's website and check if it helps.

What is the make and model of the computer?

Method 1:

Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter to troubleshoot the device:

a. Press Windows key to launch the Start screen.

b. Type “Troubleshooting” without quotes and click on Troubleshooting.

c. In the new window, click View all on the left pane.

d. In the list of options, click on **Hardware and devices.**e. Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions.

If the issue persist try Method 2

Method 2: Roll back the driver and check if it helps.

You may try the steps below to roll back driver.

1. Right click Start

2. Open Device Manager

3. Locate and double-click the hardware device whose driver you need to rollback

4. In the properties dialog box, click the Roll Back Driver button

5. Click Yes when you are asked, “Are you sure you would like to roll back to the previously installed driver software?”

6. Restart Windows after the previously installed driver is reinstalled

Note: You can roll back only to the previously installed driver and not to the drivers installed before it.

Also Refer to the following Microsoft help article and check if it helps.

When trying method 2, I get this error:

"Windows could not start the bluetooth support service on local computer.

Error 1079: The account specified for this service is different from the account for other services running in the same process."

So what does this mean and how can I solve it ??
