I have recently downloaded the Windows 8.1 Pro version and I now have a "Secure Build isnt configured correctly build 9600" watermark on my desktop. I updated from windows 8 pro to 8.1. I tried to configure the bios to enable secure boot I cant find it anywhere on the BIOS screen. I have an ASUS X401a laptop. I also tried to edit the group policy that enable advanced boot options as well but nothing seems to work. Now my question is this fixable or will my laptop stop working after certain amount of time. This is very frustrating as I use this as my computer for school.  Also Windows 8 has been activated since I checked for the key and its fine.

Thanks for your help Ray, But my laptop is not x55 , It is a x550cc(about two months old)..

I checked for a BIOS update, and I figured out that my laptop has the latest BIOS version...

So Asus told me to wait for an update(a hotfix) from Microsoft..

    Thanks for your reply...
