There are 72 processes running in my Windows 8.1 PC, are they malicious?

Dear community,

The computer is new.

Im not computer literate but logic tells me 72 processes running in th e back ground is too many?

I don't wish to start turning on/off processes in case I corrupt the machine or messing with programs to deselect ...

start up has only 3 or 4 processes running so not so bad.

Any suggestions on where i can take it in London, uk to be detoxed?

Can I get Microsoft to fix it remotely?

CrowdInspect is only meant an an informative utility to let you know what's going on with your system.

You don't need to kill any process, but if you come across any marked with a red dot, run a good anti-malware application like the free version of Malwarebytes to check them out. Download that from here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/free/

    Okay...

    firefox favourites ive learnt how to swap them to another computer...

    so should i put that same file in my skydrive too?

    im still backing up the computer

    and once thats finished i will try again to see if i can do that system image thing and see what happens...

    Put the Firefox Bookmarks file in the My Documents folder. It'll be synced automatically to Skydrive along with everything else which is in there.

    hello :) Not sure what is going on with bluetooth, the pc and phone recognise each other for two minutes then they switch off.

    The first link is Nokia's own support site for that particular model.

    The second one is Microsoft support for the Lumia 720. Where it says "Choose category", choose "Windows phone software update".

    what do you mean by making bookmark backups in firefox manually?

    As I explained to you before, File History only makes backups of Favourites along with the other file types I mentioned. But "Favourites" are the links to sites which are saved by Internet Explorer, not by Firefox.

    Because Firefox isn't a Windows product, File History doesn't make backups of any files created in that browser such as "Bookmarks". This means you have to make a manual backup yourself first. You can however save the bookmarks file to the Documents folder where it will be backed up along with everything  else at that location.

    To create a manual (as opposed to an automatic) backup, do the following.

    1. Hit CTRL+SHIFT+B to open the Firefox Library and then click "Import and Backup" link at the top.
    2. Choose "Export Bookmarks to HTML. See the first screenshot.
    3. In the menu which appears as shown in the second screenshot, change the location to "This PC | Documents" and then click "Save".
