That is not a single issue support. That is for an extended support contract. A lot of people here have different issues but are using a single thread. Its hard to fix different networking issues as a group
Windows 8.1: WiFi dropping and/or "Limited"
Since installing 8.1 Pro, I'm having issues with WiFi dropping internet connectivity and always showing "Limited" when clicking on the system tray icon. When I troubleshoot the problem using the system tool it is always the gateway that is faulty. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the device drivers several times, installed the newest drivers directly from Intel, restarted the computer, etc. I can restore connectivity by turning WiFi off then back on, but the connection will drop at what seems to be random intervals. My applicable system specs are as follows;
Lenovo Y510P Laptop
Windows 8.1 Pro
Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230
Apple Time Capsule router w/newest firmware
Needless to say this is quite an irritating bug that didn't exist prior to the update to 8.1 I hope this can be resolved quickly. Thanks!

2014-05-16T22:31:53+00:00 Then there is an issue with the wireless signal or behind that. Since connecting another wireless network to the same wireless adapter works its not the computer. Networking is complex. Start another thread and post the link in a reply here I bet we can get you online with both or at the least determine if the router is bad. While the error may be limited connection there could be hundreds of reasons why. Limited connection means you can connect to a network but the network can't connect to the internet.

2014-05-16T18:36:52+00:00 This is an incredible issue as its effecting so many users. I have the same unstable connection issues as many users have detailed..
I've noticed that when using IE11 on Windows 8.1 and the pages don't load due to unavailable connection my Antivirus is easily downloading its updates. I also noticed that the ustable connection occurs very often when I use my dlink 2740b router but never happens when I connect using my mobile phones hotspot connection.

2014-05-15T23:48:05+00:00 I'm willing to bet that you actually contacted a third-party tech company that was using Microsoft in it's title for searches, but wasn't actually Microsoft. (This happened to me once with an Apple issue. I THOUGHT I was contacting Apple Support. It turned out to be an unrelated company that was using Apple's name. They, too, wanted to charge me for an issue that Apple fixed for free.) As I stated previously, Microsoft stores are fixing this issue for free. This doesn't help everyone because Microsoft stores aren't everywhere.
