Copy Paste dialog not displayed in the foreground or as the focus window

For everyone still facing this issue (after applying all fixes listed on this thread):

It started happening again on Windows 10 for the first time a few weeks ago, but I managed to find something buried deep inside the 8.x forums regarding the "foregroundlocktimeout" reg value. 

I researched a bit and after reverting its value to 0 (it was 200000 or something, changed by an application), the file dialog issue never happened again. Here's what you gotta do:

Open regedit (Win+R -> write "regedit" -> enter) and navigate to HK_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop open the "ForegroundLockTimeout" key and change its value to 0 (hexadecimal). Reboot the system, use it as you usually do for a few minutes and then check if the dialog issue still happens. 

For me, it never happened again. The copy/paste dialog popups up like it should whenever I do any file-moving-copying stuff.

I run Windows 10 and setting "Windows Explorer NOT to Launch folder windows in a separate process" fixed it for me.

I use NVidia GForce GTX 770 cards and the latest driver (version 355.82) but this was clearly not a driver issue for me. The simple explorer setting was all that was required to fix it.

Thank you for replying with more information about the issue.

The behavior you are referring to is by design. You make any changes on your computer most of the time it gives notification by icon blinking on the taskbar.

You can also confirm if this is an issue or not by creating a new user account and then try working on files or folders and check if the issue persists there or not.

1. What are you referring by "copy or paste & the dialog needs me to answer an overwrite"?
2. Did the issue start recently?
3. Do you get any error code or error message?
4. Have you made any changes to the computer prior to this issue?
