Windows Live Mail can not copy hyperlinks from one e-mail to another.

Hey all.

Long story short, I am writing this for my mother who current runs a dog boarding business as well as various other e-mail accounts, ranging from fan clubs to personal ones. She has a draft e-mail saved which contains information and links she would COPY and PASTE into e-mails prior to sending them. Essentially, these are signatures. No matter which signature she copies and pastes, each one has at least one weblink.

As of yesterday, when copying and pasting that information, the link does not copy with the text. Instead of pasting the text as a hyperlink, like she has been able to, it simply shows the text without any clickable option.

I have double checked the options, Read all messages in plain text is unticked, as well as the Mail Sending Format and News Sending Formation both being set to HTML.

Can anyone help please?

    I tried the 1st registry change suggested by CharlieG100 although this didn't seem to work.

    For those doubting though the steps show by ¡Firedog worked fine and I have little knowledge of registry changes and managed to implement it within a minute.

    I am now back to sending emails with links in. Thanks!!

    Sorry for the confusion, Mick - DLC. The solution was not mine. I had read the solution by Hoge and the clarification by iFiredog and my brain took a few moments for the steps to be clear (Dementia setting in?). So, I attempted to repeat the solution in what I thought were clearer steps -- guess I failed. Again -- sorry.

    Win7  IE10  WLM Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3528.0331)

    The Hoge.reg is for IE11.

    Hello Noel,

    I have downloaded and installed the Hoge.reg as per your instructions - tyvm.

    Step 5. I tried forwarding a message that I have saved for just this purpose.  Unfortunately I still get the message "One or more pictures cannot be found - etc." and the end result has not changed.

    Win7  IE10  WLM Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3528.0331)

    Mick, I think it's likely that several things will change after implementing Hoge's brilliantly simple solution. There are probably many things that IE8 permitted that IE11 won't and vice versa, or just things that are done differently nowadays. Among these are font definitions, so yes, you may have to redo your templates. 

    It's not certain that the change will all be for the better, and it might well be that the annoying horizontal scrollbar is one of the benefits we could have done without. However, as always, it's best to use Windows Live Mail's HTML editor (the message compose window) to compose messages for Windows Live Mail to transmit. That way, you're sure not to introduce features that the program can't cope with.

    I think I've just found another strange problem that this solution solves ...
