Folks, We have heard a small set of devices were receiving the error 8018830F when trying to take Update 1 this morning. We need your help to look into this further. Please reply to this thread and provide the following details: Make/Model of Device (Ex: Nokia Lumia 925) Country device was purchased in Mobile Operator if device is branded a specific operator (during boot up does it display a Mobile Operator logo?) The Manufacture ID for Device (Nokia Devices Only!) Note: To find the Manufacture ID, go to Settings -> Extras + Info -> More Info -> It should be the first row listed. Nokia Lumia 920 Canada Rogers (locked; no logo) RM-820_nam_canada_200 Tried a few times already; downloads, gears, fails. Rebooted, tried again. Will try to do a soft reset then try again. 12:30 EST: Soft reset was a no go. I saw that changing the language option helped a few users. Like most people with the Preview, despite being in Canada I set my phone to English US to use Cortana. Maybe that's the problem. Resetting the Canada and will try again. 13:00 EST: Changing language and region back to Canada did not resolve the issue. Same error. Edit: Phone was plugged into charger (direct to wall) each time. 15:15 EST: The update continues to prompt to install. This time I got error 0x80188308. August 5, 09:00 EST: Been reading about the bitlocker update (in case this applies); I never removed the Preview Program app and I never received any updates pertaining to bitlocker. My phone is also still on Lumia Black.

The same error with a 625 and 3.14 GB free. I'll wait before I try a hard reset because I'm busy and in the hope that there might be a better solution.

Try hard resetting your phone and then perform the update. (Settings > about > reset your phone) Just make sure backup is turned on under Settings first.

Hi The update downloaded on my L925 but it cannot be opened : error 8018330f I tried to download several times in vain. Does anybody have a solution ? Thanks

Try hard resetting your phone and then perform the update. (Settings > about > reset your phone)

Just make sure backup is turned on under Settings first.
