Error: 0x800F0922 when installing KB 2919355

Have tried just about every suggestion without luck. Update goes to 99% and rolls back everything; as a result, every other security update released over the past month and a half has not been successfully installed, leaving my machine vulnerable.

I contacted support and they logged on to my PC for a few hours. Did whatever it is they do.  Eventually they called me back. Their response:  "We give up: this update was a defect and there isn't anything we can do about it"

I asked what my next step was and they recommended I get a new PC.  Apparently my 5 month old one just couldn't cut it.

I guess this is the end of the line for me because, well, that answer is pretty dumb.

Just sharing my experiences with this error.

I ran through Tut 1 and tut 2 and it still didn't install. So I suggested to the customer to contact MS support.

The Level 1 Tech had no luck on getting it to install and she escalated it to Level 2 and the customer has a callback for tomorrow morning.

I will keep everyone posted.

After a month and a half of trying I am becoming a tad annoyed at this botched update.  I have never had a single problem before now.  I have done everything suggested in this thread short of a re-install (which I will not do due to it taking weeks to get all my dev environments up and running again).
