windows 8.1 clock running fast post update

Since I have updated to windows 8.1 the clock is running, I have had to reset the date and time every day off by several hours, some times by a couple of days, I did not have any problems before I updated.  I have  an ACER W510 tablet

    I have the same problem with HP Envy X2 on Windows 8.1. The system clock is several hours/days ahead when Windows starts up. It doesn't happen every time, but occasionally.

    All updates are installed, BIOS settings are fine, Windows Time service is set to launch automatically.

    It happens on a clean install of Windows 8.1, even without any OEM drivers.

    It doesn't happen on Windows 8, so this is clearly a 8.1 issue. It seems to affect a lot of Clover Trail tablets, which are all on the same platform.

    Please fix this.

    Also, forgot to add: Turning off Fast Startup doesn't help. The clock is also messed up when resuming from hibernate.

    Hey,

    I had the same issue with the acer W511. Time did not update after shutdown and Startup.

    I also don't have a Windows key on the tablet ;) But I opened the charms bar and searched for the local services application.

    I was suprised to see that time Service was set to manual startup....

    So proceed as Winston was describing. But then double click on "Windows Time Service" ==> General ==> Startup Type "Automatic".

    The first 2 rounds of shutdown and Startup worked properly, but I need to try more often.

    Also Have DateTime Problems on a Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet 2.

    Since I've updated to 8.1 the time is doing what it want (running forward to fast?)

    Windows is Up to date (nothing found by Windows Update).

    I have a touch screen tablet, so I am not able to push the windows key and R at the same time, I do not have a third party program for time keeping on the tablet, as I said before I did not have this issue until I updated to Win 8.1.  I have done all the other test, and check the bios clock and every thing and every thing was working the way it should.  The only thing that fix the problem is turning off the Set Time Automatically then turning it back on. I can turn my tablet off, and turn it back on within a half hour and have the time change but up to 24 hours. So to me it looks like something in the WIN8.1 program.
