Surface Arc Touch Mouse not compatible on Windows 7?

Hey all. I recently bought a Surface Pro 2. I later bought a Surface Arc Mouse. Long story short, I had to return my Surface. So, as of now I am on my laptop and I cannot get my laptop's bluetooth to discover my mouse (it's in discovery mode).

I tried googling around and couldn't find anything. Am I stuck?

    Hi guys, 

    One more thing I resolved was the "sleeping" or "disconnecting" issue that some other people have reported and I too experienced.   This should solve a number of issues people are reporting with different bluetooth mouse that periodically stop working. 

    The issue was that periodically the mouse would stop moving and you had to do a few different things to restart it (eg power on and off, etc) - overall VERY annoying. 

    In any case I believe I found the issue.  It's to do with the power management settings for bluetooth.  This needs to be disabled and everything should work perfectly (it has for me now). 

    Steps to resolve:

    1. open up device manager
    2. go to the bluetooth device (the one recently installed as per my previous post) and go to properties for this by right clicking   (see image below)

    1. from here go to the power management settings tab
    2. uncheck the checkbox that turns off the power to bluetooth  (see below)

    this should be the final step to make your new mouse operate perfectly   :)

    The part about this that I find hilarious is that the mouse will not pair with my very new Win 7 Lenovo laptop, but it has no issue pairing with my also very new MacBook Pro.  Chalk up another win for Apple?

    I have the exact same problem. The mouse works perfectly on my Vaio SVS machine and once paired with a Belkin Bluetooth 4.0 dongle on the Windows 7 machine, it also works fine. However, the moment I leave it for a couple of minutes (following which it goes to sleep) and then return, or if I switch it off and back on, it stops working.

    On the Vaio it works instantly. On the Windows 7 machine, I have to remove it and repair/reinstall it.

    No solution just yet. Still looking into it.

    In addition, there is no "LE properties" menu when I double-click on it.

    Anymore insight on how you accomplished this? I can't even get my surface to show up to pair. I am using an Intel 6235 N Centrino Bluetooth 4.0 which specifically is Bluetooth LE capable. I can't even get paired to make it as far as you did.
