Get Error 1723 - There is a problem with Windows Installer package

Hi, i am having trouble with .msi files. An example of it would be logmein hamachi. It would return me with error 1723. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. What should I do? i am currently using windows 8 pro with media centre. my windows installer is Windows ® Installer. V 5.0.9200.16384. Thanks

I had the exact same problem. The solution is to go into c:\users"username"\AppData\Local\  then right click on "temp" and choose "properies". Choose "security" --> edit --> add, and add the username you are using, and give yourself all rights. After that it'll work :)

    i have tried to allow full control permission for user(on temp folder of course) and I tried to off my firewall too but it doesn't work.

    im using windows 10 home single language. please help me. Thank You

    Um dude, Im trying to uninstall sony vegas pro 13 on windows 10, and i still got the error message, even with the all the rights selected on my username.
