2014-09-24T19:50:22+00:00 A good way to determine that will be to read the reports by people playing with the preview when it comes out in a few weeks.
Or if you're technically-minded, you could install the preview in a virtual machine or on a spare computer if you have one and try it for yourself. I plan on running 9 in a virtual machine to try out. I want to make sure it keeps the features I like from 8 and doesn't regress too far. That's the best way to determine if 9 will be to your liking. Don't take the word of anyone else- make your own decision.
I'm hoping 9 is "a PC centric, friendly, capable, and desirable OS" but I think 8 already fits that bill perfectly. Its the best Windows since 3.x IMO! I just want a refinement of the mix we have now, and options to adjust it to more desktop - or more Modern
- as the user prefers.

2014-09-24T18:50:55+00:00 Windows 8 is fine with many people, it came with their computers.
Also, Windows 8 is NOT fine with many people [including me], some of whom removed Windows 8 from their computer and installed Windows 7. It is more likely this latter group is looking forward to determine if Windows 9 will be a PC centric, friendly, capable, and desirable OS.

Use Bitdefender, and it works with IE.
