Original Title; I can't update or install windows 8 pro apps.

i've tried all of your methods but still not working. i troubleshoot the apps, create another microsoft account, creat a local account, clean the registry, refreshed, reset and reinstalled windows but the problem is still there. it says, Error code: 0x8020002e. i have a good internet connection.

    Have found windows store and some windows updates will not work with my t-mobile 4g , when I take laptop to normal wifi works fine. if you are using 4g device I would suggest taking your laptop to a library , mcdonalds, or a freinds house that has cable wifi and see if that don't work.

    i am also having the same problem and my store works perfectly but it wont let me download anything!! what can i do?? if this doesnt get resolved i shall return my windows 8 laptop!

    I had to downgrade from windows 8.1 back to windows 8. My system is functioning a little better now windows 8.1 stresses the memory of my device, I have to keep launching task manager to truly end a program. Also with 8.1 some features I enjoyed were missing. For example estimated data usage and the ability to forget a network which would help fix some network connection issues. Until they get those issues sorted out I am sticking with plain old windows 8

    That makes a lot of sense, I am using a 4G sonic T mobile hotspot its pretty fast but maybe not fast but maybe windows store having problem interacting with these 3G and 4G connection as you said. The store works well on a public WIFI but not at my home...... I cant bet that most, if not all of us who are experiencing this problem are using a mobile broadband connection.

    I notice that the windows 8.1 upgrade does not give the option to set as metered connection or to estimate data usage, it makes me want to downgrade back to 8
