how to delete the history of uninstalled apps in win 8 store

when i uninstalled apps in win 8 ,,, i dont know how to delete that history because when i checked in "your apps"(in win 8 store),,

there were history of unistalled apps..

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community Forums.

From your issue description , I understand that you need to delete the uninstalled App history from the Windows App Store.

Unfortunately its not possible to delete the uninstall App history in the windows 8 App store. Its designed like that .So in future if you want install any of these apps again in your computer you don’t to have search for that in the whole App Store. You can just select “My Apps” and from there you can install that once again very easily.

    My personal Workaround.

    Just that we have to come up with Workarounds Shows that there is a real flaw in the usability:

    Once I saw there is no way to mark anything in the store's peraonal app-history for deletion I stopped using my Outlook.com account for the store. I just use a temporary outlook.com account in a virtual machine to test some apps to see if I like them. If yes I'll search it with my current outlook.com account on my Win 8.1 PC.

    >I only check for interesting apps once in a while, and since the outlook.com accounts are free to create, I just use them as throw-aways so I don't have the overhead of tracking Passwords. Still a little work but that way I have a chance to actually use the app-history to install apps I like on other machines. 

    Not pretty, but since basic features on the Microsoft store are missing I had to come up with something - sorry for wasting your ******@outlook.com :(

    Maybe Microsoft will listen to its users again in the future - we'll see. Currently the Cloud Features are more SaaO (Software as additional Overhead) than SaaS.

    Yep. It's small sh*t like this that makes me not-want-windows.

    I'll give windows 10 another chance. Until then, this is nothing more than a games-launcher to me.

    As soon as there are no games I want to play: elementary os (linux) is going to be really nice and perfectly fine for everyday work.

    Everyday I thank the Almighty that I never put windows 8 or 8.1 on my computer or any of my customers' computer. I ran in  this issue while using the Windows 10 Technical Preview. As I have said on other blogs, Microsoft has performed a ****job on the App subsystem. I am in sympathetic to anyone that has Windows 8 or 8.1 as their operating system and although I have found Windows 10  Technical Preview to perform very well, the Apps store program is one big pain in the neck. I have used Google apps on my Samsung phone and able to download many purchased and free apps without any problems and able to delete any app that I don't use. Maybe Microsoft can talk the FTC into letting them purchase Google so they can get some talent to perfect the apps system.

    Microsoft's favorite slogan is "This is by design" when something doesn't work or they decide to leave something out, ex. the network monitors in Window 7 or the group by name that comes out in A-H, K-M etc. I could go on and on, however I need to get back to work on Windows 10.

    Me too. After trying out a lot of apps I now have about six hundred uninstalled apps listed on my app history. And it's going to grow. This is useless, poor, badly conceived design. Fix it.

    I agree! This is a major FAIL on Microsoft's part! Please correct... It would be easy to replace the useless "clear" button with a useful "delete" button... This is one reason why android is kicking windows butt all over the place! Give the people what they want and NEED! We, afterall, are the ones using it... Just a thought, here...
