Hiya,

I cant get system properties up by any method, (I.E right clicking on my computer and selecting properties).  This means I cant get to see any of the computer properties or system restore properties.  I have done malware and virus checks and they have come back clear.  Please Help

    Hiya Elizabeth,

I get an error message when trying to copy this file saying " Cannot copy usp10: it is being used by another person or program.  Close any program that might be using the file and try again"

I have reregistered these but still no change

    regsvr32 jscript.dll

    regsvr32 nusrmgr.cpl

    regsvr32 /i mshtml.dll

    regsvr32 themeui.dll

    regsvr32 vbscript.dll

I now have my sky drive account and will copy the sysdm.cpl file to it later as I have to go to hosptital soon and wanted to try the other sugestions to see if they would remedy the problem.

I will also try the safe mode boot up and report back how it worked

    Regards

    Phil

    Found it! :)

This may be the solution, I renamed my file and could not access system properties from right clicking my computer, then I renamed it back and I could access again.

So this is what I want you to do:

    1. go to my skydrive and download the usp10.dll file:

    https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=D7389B68B3A275AD

    1. save it to your desktop
    2. copy to the system32 folder and to the system32/dll cache folder.
    3. if asked to overwrite or replace say yes.
    4. now try to access system properties by right clicking my computer.

let me know if this works.
