Hi getting above message with device manager for this hardware TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H653N ATA

Ive tried running the Microsoft trouble shooter but this doesn't help any ideas? Running Windows 8 thanks

Can you check the following registry key?:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

At that registry key, in the right window, is there, under "Name", either an UpperFilters or LowerFilters value?

If so, for each of the UpperFilters and/or LowerFilters value, what is listed under "Data"?

    Hi Sir, Please help me with my problem. My laptop freezes when shutting down. I need to hold the power switch just to shut it down. Please help?

    Also, if you have a Toshiba computer there are a couple of Toshiba programs mentioned in the following thread that may be the problem:

    So try uninstalling the Toshiba programs, if they are installed, that are mentioned in the thread.

     

    Restart the computer afterward.

    From Ricardo Ritchie, I had the sasme problem with a Toshiba Satellite A665-S5179. if YOU ARE RUNNING windows 8PRO, DOWNLOAD  MICROSOFT MEDIA CENTER, see if that works. it did for me.

    I have the same problem on a Toshiba satellite L500. Pioneer drive.

    When I go into the registry there is no upper or lower limits to delete.

    I have also uninstalled the drive numerous times. It worked once but them when I rebooted it hasn't worked since.

    Any other suggestions?
