I had this problem and think I have found the cure. Open up the Nvidia Control Panel (probably bottom right tasks bar) left hand side of control panel click on Phys configurations, click on automatic and change to GForce (if this is what your computer runs) click apply - hopefully this may cure your problems. If not increase the power to your cpu,

TDR is the Timeout, Detection, and Recoverycomponent in Windows. **** What happens is the Graphics Display driver for the installed graphics card stops responding. When this happens, windows will stop and restart the driver to fix the problem.
The most common reason for this issue is that the graphics device is being overloaded or used beyond its capabilities.
This happens most often when playing graphic intensive games, but can happen with any process that uses a large amount of graphic resources, such as when editing or creating videos.
Some things you can do to avoid these problems:
a. Make sure you are using the latest graphics device driver.
b. Manage your time working with programs that are graphic intensive, exit any other programs that might also use a large amount of resources.
I would suggest you to download and Install the latest graphic card drivers from the manufacturer’s website and check.
You can install Windows 7 drivers in compatibility mode if there are no Windows 8 compatible drivers.
Follow these steps:
a) Press the ‘Windows + W’ key on the keyboard.
b) Type compatibility in the search box and then press enter.
c) Click “Run programs made for previous versions of Windows” option from the list appeared in the left side.
d) Select the drivers and install.

This problem has been going on for months but it is getting much worse and seems to happen when I am checking my mail on Outlook. I updated my system a couple weeks ago and don't know if this is what made it worse. It is very annoying since the screen keeps blanking out. It doesn't seem to happen in Word.
Outlook runs with video acceleration. This puts more stress on the graphics card. This will be worse with the last few updates because of new video compositing requirements in Windows. You can disable video acceleration from settings in Outlook and see if this improves your situation when using Outlook.
This can be made worse if one of the driver files is not upgraded completely as sometimes happens with Nvidia and AMD drivers. Try removing the driver completely from Device Manager and rebooting, and then installing the latest driver for your card.
If neither of the above helped you may also have an underlying hardware issue. I started having my main screen black out repeatedly, every few minutes. But I didn't see any error messages for those.
Swapped the power supply cable to the card for another one and my problems stopped completely. Turned out that the circuit for the cable from the PSU wasn't supplying enough power to the graphics card. Under stress the card just couldn't handle it when power requirements increased during demand and the PSU couldn't supply enough.
If none of the above work, it may be time to replace either PSU or graphics card.
