why Facebook photo from the photo app is removed from windows 8.1...?..as that was one of the useful app....is there any other option so that I can able to use my Facebook photo easily....

I saw this app and was hopeful, but well...it's full of bugs :( It doesn't seem to want to load all of my local photos. Directories which contain 30-40 photos sometimes only display 1 image...and some photo directories don't show up at all. SkyDrive integration is pretty much zero as it simply throws me into the handicapped Metro browser. Visually, the program looks nice but I really don't think it was useability tested at all. I hope I can find an app that can replace the Photos App MS destroyed. On the flip side, I have enjoyed using File Brick app -- it at least lets me navigate quickly between SkyDrive and local. I'd definitely recommend it, but it is certainly more of a manager with good photo integration than a photo app. I've had the same issues. It's a promising attempt, but at this cost and with this many bugs, it's not a viable replacement to something that was flawlessly built-in until a couple of months ago.

Possibly, but my previous issues with SkyDrive syncing have been resolved. It's still not as good as Live Mesh was, but there we are. The PowerDVD app is the first I've seen that exhibits this issue. Whether it's Cyberlink or Microsoft, something about this app on Windows 8.1 does not account for the My Pictures being pointed at SkyDrive. I could understand it if the SkyDrive files were "dehydrated" on this machine (as vasudev refers to them), but my SkyDrive photos directory is "hydrated". I guess you should contact Cyberlink. Nothing makes up for Microsoft removing the features people loved. The Cyberlink app/solution may help some people, which is why I posted it. But I won't get in to supporting their app.

Does it cache the photos you view, the ay the original Photos app did? That is the feature I miss the most. It allowed me to view a set of photos on Flickr and then show them to other people when I was in a location with no WiFi service. This was extremely useful. You should try it and see, there is a free trial.

Photos App in 8.1 loses most of its best features e.g. Facebook/Flickr support...
