What rubbish. What you need to do is throw away this new app, take the original Windows 8 app and improve it by making an API that allows third party developers that have apps on the system to link to the Photos app. It becomes opt-in for developers, users gain greater functionality and compatibility with services they use, and Microsoft has something to offer that competitors do not.

Microsoft. .. Everyone on this discussion disagrees w taking away the hub functionality of the photos app and just hubs in general in windows 8.1. I am glad you are listening to customer feedback do I suggest you listen to this feedback. The water was just getting really warm until I saw your photos app and it just got colder. Hubs is what you have that other platforms don't. In fact bring the hub to other apps like on windows phone. Like music video messaging people and others. Especially photos people and messaging"Skype". Hubs is intuitive and the awesome. Microsoft bring it back!

I don't get it. Seems like a fundamentally flawed design. I cant even import photos from a camera! So how exactly do i get any photos onto my PC? The only ones i can find a way to load into this app are the ones i loaded before upgrading to 8.1. I dont see any way to get any more photos there. Why bother with upgraded editing options if you cant import anything to edit! Half baked solution and a nonsense resoonse from MS. The Import Photos feature actually does return in the newest leaked build.

Photos App in 8.1 loses most of its best features e.g. Facebook/Flickr support...
