Does it cache the photos you view, the ay the original Photos app did? That is the feature I miss the most. It allowed me to view a set of photos on Flickr and then show them to other people when I was in a location with no WiFi service. This was extremely useful. You should try it and see, there is a free trial. Come on bring us back the old functionalities of the old photo app. Its not nice to downgrade what was originally there and promote something else worth 15 bucks. It's clearly a "bait and switch" tactic.

I don't follow all this discussion but I certainly missed the features of the previous Photos app. I particularly liked the moving collage display and I have not found anything else in the store the does it in the same way . Any suggestions? The previous version also seemed to be able to use a wider range of photos from different sources - even if they had been viewed but not downloaded - or maybe I was just imagining it.
