No need to do so. If you choose to install IE10, the Platform update (KB2670838) will be "drive-by" installed (if it's not already installed).
In the near future, Microsoft should begin offering home users (only!) no-charge support for IE10 install and uninstall issues. You also may be eligible for the support if an IE10-related issue causes your computer to crash or if IE10 does not let you browse
all sites. For now, however, you're on your own so you're best bet is to hide IE10 (and KB2670838 IMHO) & stick with IE9 for the time being.
