I have two machines (windows 7 x64) with the same problem. The network adapter is a Broadcom NetExtreme, so the issue seems to exits with intel, realtek and broadcom.
Updating the driver did not help.
No maleware was found.
I've run more than a dozen malware/virus scans, offline, boot from USB, etc. and I have replaced the NIC. I removed the old drivers completely and reinstalled the new drivers forthe Intel Gigabit CT Desktop Adapter. No luck! It seems to be worse the ever. NSI keeps consuming memory until I restart it or it brings my system to its knees.
Anyone have any ideas?
I'm running Windows 7 64bit.
I've done a number of malware scans, re-installed the network adapters, checked for any uninstalled relevant Windows Updates and yet NSI is consuming about 2.4GB over time.
I know this doesn't help anyone else but at least it raises awareness that there are more people suffering from the same issue.
