Well... All I can say, is with Windows Update disabled for the last 15 days on my old system, did not seem to help my system at all. The NSI service still jumped around a lot, and used more RAM than other peoples systems.
This is with an Intel Core2Quad Q9650-ASUS P5QL/EPU Mobo-4GB DDR2 Mushkin Gaming RAM-nVidia GTX 570-650w ANTEC Green PSU. Windows Auto Update DISABLED.
Now, I have built my NEW system: Intel Core i5 4670K Haswell - MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming Series Mobo - 8GB DDR3 G-Skill 2133mhz RAM - EVGA 650w Gaming Modular PSU. Windows Update ENABLED.

As you can see usage is WAY lower even at boot, as my old system at boot was between 3000 and 4000 K, and increased from there. Here on the new system, I have a DROP since boot. Keep in mind this is a FRESH Win 7 install, SAME Home Premium 64bit OS as last system, and IE9 is still active. IE10 and 11 are the ONLY updates NOT applied since installing the OS. ALL my drivers are up to date, all other Windows updates are up to date. Yes, only 16 hours monitored, however, I just got my system stable after overclocking, and just now separated the NSI service out into it's own SVCHOST process.
I will continue to capture images as time progresses, now that my system is stable, I should not have to do any restarts, and start over on the uptime timer. I am hoping to gather results over the next 15 days without restarting the PC, only then can I really judge the difference.
OH, probably good to mention as well, the PC is connected to the same ASUS router that is connected to the same 2Wire DSL modem for my ISP. So I do not suspect routers being an issue.
I will keep looking, and trying to find a solution.
