Windows volume shortcut

Hello. 

                Is it possible to control the master volume with some keyboard shortcut? I would prefer it to be without a use of some additional software.But if it isn't possible then the software should be pretty light-weight and not consume a lot of CPU/RAM.  Thank you for your help. 

  PS: I DON'T intend to buy a multimedia keyboard for that.

Yes,you can create a Master Volume Shortcut and also assign a Shortcut Key.

Right click on a empty area on desktop, and click on New and Shortcut.

Paste the following in to the location of the item area:-

%windir%\System32\SndVol.exe -f 49825268Click Next button and give a name to the Shortcut and click Finish.

Now You right click on it and select Properties.

Click Shortcut tab.

Assign your desired shortcut key like F8 or F9 in the Shortcut Key area.

Click OK/Apply.

    You're absolutely right! Only "I" would hit the delete key. But I straightened it out, thanks to your help! Thanks again!

    This isn't working for me, the volume opens when I dbl Click on it, but when I set up the shortcut key and try it, it doesn't do anything.  Is there a reboot required?  Does this work differently on different versions of 7?

    Also any time I try to add any key other than the F# keys it adds Ctrl+Alt, even though Im not pressing them.  Is this normal?

    i dont get why youtube changed it it was perfect,, the arows up down left and right

    up volume up down volume down

    left backspace like couple seconds (music or video both) and right for foward a couple seconds,, ofc the faster you click in a short amouth of time the ,, and the longer you hold the faster it,,

    seriously people need to get the standards for all back to the good ways,,,, unless the arows were for something else or that you use i dont know the double up and double down arows next to insert suppr end, or the num right side of keyboard the same way as the arows used to be used to,, but seriously it shouldnt be F8 F9,, the arows are closer to anyone far away or close easier to use seperated from other numbers easier to use much simpler,,

    why youtube and windows media player ,, and im even wondering if netflix did too?,, i know they finally got the backspace and foward space right,, just like youtube used to be perfect,, instant play after pressing not pausing everytime you press the left arow,,, you know the arows on your keyboard right side of the enter button left side of numbers?, whats wrong with big companies,, i thought it was obviously a good idea,, and they dont seem to have any use anymore (though youtube instead scrolls down now with it (witch i thought it was what the double up and down arows right over the normal arows were for scrolling up and down) cause seriously those arows only have up and down, and videos have backward backspace (one click or more for backspacing, **** me off when netflix backspaceing more then 4 5 6 times makes it stop) foward sound fastfoward by holding etcetc i got visit, im sure you got my point.
