Windows volume shortcut

Can you tell me how to undo this?  I set the + key as the hot key and just realized I have volume control keys on the keyboard.  Yup, I'm a moron...

My PS2 generic keyboard suddenly started to control the system volume with the ‘a’ and ‘z’ keys…

Every time I press the ‘a’ key, the volume goes down, and every time I press the ‘z’ key, the volume goes up, also the º key (just below the Esc key) mutes the system volume.

How can I stop this from happening? I don’t want the ‘a’ and ‘z’ keys to control the system volume at all!

                Is it possible to control the master volume with some keyboard shortcut? I would prefer it to be without a use of some additional software.But if it isn't possible then the software should be pretty light-weight and not consume a lot of CPU/RAM.  Thank you for your help. 

  PS: I DON'T intend to buy a multimedia keyboard for that.

Yes,you can create a Master Volume Shortcut and also assign a Shortcut Key.

Right click on a empty area on desktop, and click on New and Shortcut.

Paste the following in to the location of the item area:-

%windir%\System32\SndVol.exe -f 49825268Click Next button and give a name to the Shortcut and click Finish.

Now You right click on it and select Properties.

Click Shortcut tab.

Assign your desired shortcut key like F8 or F9 in the Shortcut Key area.

Click OK/Apply.

I registered JUST to reply and say thank you! If it wasn't for the fact that I HAD to have a WIN7 Laptop because of work, I'd wouldn't have a worry (Apple fan). Other than that, using shift and home/end works just as well to get my typing done and the whole thing doesn't inpeed.

Is there anything I can do to replace keys with F10-12?

You can use this script, created by me with the help of Auto hotkey (www.autohotkey.com)

Usage :

1. Dowload Volume Control.exe from   http://www.mediafire.com/download/8b2new16ndo6dob/Volume%20Control.exe

2.Open the Volume Control (nothing seems to be happened)

3. To control with keyboard

Page Up = Volume +

Page Down = Volume -

4. To control with Mouse

Hold the right - click button of mouse and roll the wheel up and down to raise or lower the volume
