I had this problem when I got my computer. I tried the above first, but that failed. Try clicking on the time in the lower right corner of your screen; a window should pop up and you should be able to set the correct time there.
Clock on windows 8 is wrong time, i tried setting to internet time but its still wrong, think theres a time clock bug, anyone have same problem for windows 8 and know how to fix it?

cpu: q6600 2.4GHz .. mb:Asus P5Q
after i installed EPU6-Engine , clock begam to show wrong ..
EPU6-Engine is a program for overclock or downclock
i applied maximum downclock settings(vcore & chipset voltage and ...) to cpu and cpu working in 1.0Ghz now .. and clock problem begins here .. when i set normal cpu values, clock have not any problem..
I was using EPU6-Engine in win7 with any problems ... but win8 !!!!

2013-04-30T22:41:28+00:00 I am having the same issue with my Windows 8 Clock. I replaced my MB battery just to be sure and the problem continues. The CMOS time is perfect, but Windows always boots with the wrong time. I have the clock set to synchronize to NIST Internet time, but it won't sync unless I manually tell it to.
The clock will eventually pop back to the wrong time at some point (several hours slow, not related to my timezone).
I'm finding this very frustrating to deal with. Is this going to be fixed in the first SP1?
