Clock on windows 8 is wrong time, i tried setting to internet time but its still wrong, think theres a time clock bug, anyone have same problem for windows 8 and know how to fix it?

The real solution is for Microsoft to get its act together and to solve this once and for all. 

The system time is retained by the motherboard hardware,  Whenever windows updates the time it updates it in the hardware clock.  When the PC is turned off the time is kept in the hardware clock by a battery backup.

When you switch on your PC, windows reads the system time from the PC hardware.  MS provides a method to synchronise with the internet time servers, but if the discrepancy is too great it will not update.

Your problem is with the PC hardware.

I have a new (4 weeks now) Lenovo system with Windows 8 pre loaded. Since day one it has not kept time. I can force a reset by going through clock menu as mentioned in this thread, but it will only keep time for an hour or so. On rebooting, the system will start up 8 hours or so out. I have applied all software updates, uninstalled & reloaded drivers etc etc, but all to no avail.

The only thing I have found which works for me is to download & run the Net Time Synchronisation Tool. I set this to query a clock every hour & to correct mine if wrong. The log shows that indeed every hour it needs to correct by a little, but it works OK. The utility seems very small & unobtrusive.

This is really a fudge solution as it should not be necessary to reset your clock every hour. The real solution is for Microsoft to get its act together and to solve this once and for all. From the messages on line, this has been a basic problem for years.
