Why are you running AVG on Windows 8?
Try Hitman Pro Trial Version: http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro This program may be run from a flash drive.
Try TDSS Killer: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-tdss-tdl3-alureon-rootkit-using-tdsskiller TDSS Killer may be run from a flash drive.
Try adwcleaner: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/

2013-05-13T11:06:36+00:00 Iminent is Hijacker, comming from shareware/freeware applications. It is not detected by most of antivirus, though some anti-malware programs (spyhunter, spybotS&D and adwcleaner should detect it).
As it is not virus, one can uninstall it from control panel ( I recommend uninstalling it with other software installed at the same point , as it might return <removed>).
Then reset your search engine and start page settings manually or with adwcleaner.
