How can I disable or remove password startup on Windows 8? I have no need to password protect my PC and I would like to remove it.

Press the Windows + R keyboard shortcut.

Press the keyboard shortcut.

Then enter control userpasswords2 in Run dialog box and hit enter. uncheck the box named Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer

Apply button to see the Automatically Log On dialog box. Enter your password

and click ok.

    Thank you very much.  This is very helpful since I have no need to keep typing a password every time my computer goes to sleep or I restart it.

    I have tried that "netplwiz" thing 20 times, dosent work !
