I have installed windows 8 pro on my laptop but i am unable to create pin password or picture password. while creating pin password it gives error message Error occurred while capturing your pin , please try again later and while creating picture password it gives error message enrolement faillure. Problem persist even after creating other account/local account. Please help. I have already paid Rs.2000 for this windows 8, please solve my problem

Well, finally found the solution after 3 days of research.
Credential Manager Service was disabled.
Now you should be able to change/create the pin. Reply back if problem persist.

Sorry for late response.
From the above replies I understand that you tried all the suggestions mentioned in previous replies and none worked. This issue may occur due to Windows image corruption, if the Windows image is corrupted we can restore the Windows image using DISM (Deployment Image Servicing and Management) tool. Follow the steps mentioned in the link below (under Resolution topic) and Check if it helps.

If you haven't tried to change PIN by creating new user account, please try to create a new user account and try to change the PIN.

somebody ??? still doesn't work to set a new pin pwd. same : ""error occured capturing pasword. please try again later" why later? and when? next week , next month? next windows version ??? :)
c'moon... paid a lot of money on this product and is a brand new Toshiba ultrabook with win 8 pre-installed. entering every time by typing an 8 characters pwd of numbers and letters is not funny.

well i have this problem right from the installation of windows 8 pro. Initially i used windows 8 preview and then i upgraded to pro. In windows 8 preview i was able to set picture password but this problem started right after upgradation to pro. I use acer aspire 4738z laptop and i checked on acer website my laptop contains all drivers available on company website. Surprisingly picture password worked on windows 8 preview with same settings its giving problem only in Windows 8 pro.
