the MTP USB Device driver doesn't install. I cannot connect external devices such as the Samsung Galaxy. I tried multiple uninstall and re-install, no solution

i tried many of the ways suggested in many forums, nothing worked. actually when i forst connected te Galaxy it worked for a few days, then it stopped. My company ha installed on my PC System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection; however it was there even when i was able to connect.  i tird also the ipad and i get the same error.

the solution offered to my previous request on the same issue by Rob Thomas596 strictly refers to Apple products and i can't use it for the Galaxy

Run command prompt as administrator and run the following command:

net localgroup Administrators local service /add

That is what fixed my problem after searching everywhere

    For 2 days and nights I have been up trying to get a solution to my "MTP USB device installation failure"  problem. Everything I tried, failed...uninstalled, reinstalled, disabled virus protection and firewall, downloaded MTP files from different sites including microsoft (now I have to go and uninstall and delete these files). I was just ready to quit when one last desperate try pointed me to this fix, and my phone was connected in less than 2 mins. Thank you very much "WACKYWARREN"

    Problema com driver “MTP USB Device

    Há um problema comum em  conectar os SmartPhones  e outros dispositivos multimídia,  sobre tudo com Windows 7.

    MTP USB Device falha ao instalar o dispositivo, não permite a transferência de fotos e vídeos, e geram um erro de driver “MTP USB Device”.

    Para solucionar esse problema é preciso acessar o registro (regedit).

    (IMPORTANTE! fazer copia de segurança antes de realizar qualquer alteração “no regedit.  

    Dentro do regedit  click em   Arquivo / Exportar”)

    1.Click no INICIAR / Executar e escreva:  Regedit

    1. Click em:  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE /SYSTEM / CURRENT CONTROL SET/ CONTROL/ CLASS
    2. Click em “{EEC5AD98-8080-425F-922A-DABF3DE3F69A}” ao lado esquerdo. no lado direito aparecerá vários itens.
    3. Click  em “upperFilters” Click em delete. (excluir este item)
    4. Reiniciar o Computador.

    conectar o dispositivo como Câmera (PTP) e, depois como Dispositivo de mídia (MTP).

    I had tried tons of proposed solution and it seem doesn't work for my Samsung Note 3. However i finally solve without installing/uninstalling anything.

    Problem Solved as following;

    1. Reboot phone to Recovery Mode.
    2. Wipe Cache Partition.
    3. Restart phone and connect to PC.

    Bum!!! Window successfully installed your MTP driver.
