LK, I too had the same problem.  Here's the fix:

Right-Click on the Documents folder in the left pane of Windows Explorer

In the Security tab, click "Edit"

In the "Permissions for Documents" window, click "Add"

In the "Select Users or Groups" window, add your login username in the "Enter the object names to select(examples):" pane and click "Check Names"

    Click OK

Back on the "Permissions for Documents" window, click on your newly added login username then grant "Full control" by clicking the "Allow" tick.  "Apply", "OK" to close the window, then OK on the "Documents Properties" window.

Repeat this procedure for your "Pictures" folder.

You should now have full control of both folders.

LK, Én is ugyanaz volt a probléma. Íme a megoldás:

Kattintson jobb gombbal a Dokumentumok mappát a bal oldali panelen a Windows Explorer

A Biztonság lapon kattintson a "Szerkesztés"A "engedélyei Documents" ablakban kattintson a "Hozzáadás"

This is funny, but there is link in Windows 10 to make IE your default browser if you do not want Edge, Google, Mozilla/Firefox, etc your default browser.

This is not funny, this is tristful.

Windows uses IE for this task.

Start IE and say yes to let it be the default printer.

    Print something.

Reset the default browser to your preferred product.

This worked for me but I'm not precious about temporarily changing my default browser.

It is a humour, isn't it?

    Hello,

Thank you for the Update on related issue.

If OP (original post) writer would not reply with the details then how can we reach the conclusion. Please do not blame Microsoft or Internet Explorer unnecessarily and without any research. What you thinking is just an assumption. We certainly like if our valuable users use our programs but it bring no good to our program by enforcing users to uninstall third party program.

Please think other way around, Internet Explorer and Windows shares system files and if would be obvious if Windows need Internet Explorer active during course of troubleshooting.

Please feel free to reply, in case you face any other issues with Windows in future.

    Shivam,

The research you claim I should do really falls on MS to perform.  I've given you the problem, now it's up to you(MS) to find the solution.  And, any good engineer should know how to perform Analytical Problem Solving to determine what IS and IS NOT the problem.

Problem: User cannot print Homegroup password using a browser other than IE as their default browser.

Now as part of YOUR(MS) research you need to perform the following (not all inclusive) tasks.

    1. Install Firefox
    2. Make it your DEFAULT browser
    3. Attempt to print Homegroup password
    4. Diagnose the problem
    5. Correct the problem
    6. Repeat Steps 1-5 for Chrome, Firefox Nightly (64bit), SeaMonkey, Safari, Opera, ...

Since you and only you have access to the source code, YOU(MS) must accept responsibility to correct this problem.

There may be workarounds, like the previous post but, that's all they are, workarounds, not a solution.

... and repeat all the points for the brand new Edge.

    Hi Eddie,

    1. Could you please let me know if other print job works fine? Could you print a document from Word or NotePad?
    2. Is this the complete error message "Your homegroup password couldn't be printed

An error occurred while Windows was trying to print your homegroup password. (Error code: 2147500037)" you are getting?

If yes, then this error is displayed when Internet Explorer is not your default web browser. To fix this error, and allow you to print your homegroup password, you first need to set Internet Explorer as your default web browser. Instructions on how to do this can be found in the following mini-guide:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/make-ie-default-browser#ie=ie-9

After that, please refer to the steps in the following link to create a new homegroup:

    HomeGroup from start to finish

This error occurs even if my default browser is the brand new Edge! I don't understand why Microsoft is incompatible with itself!!!
