I think the issue can be counted as solved now. No more BSODs after installing NVIDIA driver from laptop vendor ASUS.

my computer restarts every time when I switching on, saying that it's a "DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION" error.

however i could solve this problem by system restore.

    Hi Raz.,

That's very interesting, thanks for that.

I also hav a NVIDIA graphics card, however it's only a GTX 670M.

For what it's worth, on my Windows 8.1 system Nvida GeoForce Experience works fine.

Hi all I think I have finally FIXED & SOLVED this Blue Screen DPC Watchdog Violation error which I have been getting since I got a new super powerful laptop about 8 months ago. The laptop would crash 1 - 20 times a day with this error.

The machine this happens on has an intel i7 quad core, SSD and normal Hard drives, 16GB Ram and very importantly a 4GB dedicated graphics card which is a Nvidia GeoForce GTX 780M DDR5

I tried everything from reformatting back to Windows 8, testing every software I added on, etc. none of this prevented the daily BSOD DPC Watchdog Violation Error and nothing I found online helped.

Then when I updated my NVIDA graphics card drivers I noticed the problem kept happening more and more!!

So what I did is rolled back the dirvers a few times and this solved the problem. It has now been a few days and the error has not happened, so I am assuming the updated and recent versions of Nviada's drivers cause this error.  The driver version I am now is on 335.23

I got this laptop in October 2013 and must have done a driver update then as this error was happening from day 1. This means that you need to use the drivers from before this date if you have my graphics card and are getting the daily blue screen DPC Watchdog Vioaltion crashes.

    * Note another problem with this NVIDA driver / software is that they give you an interface thing called Nvida GeoForce Experience. This won't work in Windows 8.1 for me.

And microsoft wonders why they are losing to to android. I think. Why microsoft cannot get it right it's beyond me. These dumb **** CEOs are so disconnected from the actual users that they are in denial that people are slowly leaving windows. Anyways just retart the tablet and it should be fine. LAUGH at send report, that never did anything.
