So lets try this and see if it helps.
Hard Reset using buttons:
Press and hold the Camera + Volume Down + Power until the phone vibrates. Then release the Power key and keep pressing the Camera + Volume Down for a few seconds.

A HAD SAME PROBLEM TOOK OUT MEMORY CARD ATTACHED TO LAPTOP AND PRESSED VOLUME <DOWN> AND POWER BUTTON AND IT CAME ON

2017-06-02T05:15:44+00:00 I just receive updates on my lumia535 I update it it done 100% then show restart now I press it it turnoff for restart and on show microsoft logo with name and after few second it turn black again I try to turn on my device by removing battery and put it again it dosent work I try hard and soft restart both dosent work I put mmy device on charging still dosent work

2017-05-24T03:24:15+00:00 Have done this - and it got rid of the lighning bolt and and cog, but now I'm trying to factory reset it, and it doesn't vibrate when I hold the 3 buttons. Held them for 40 seconds and nothing happened - when I let the buttons go, it just turned on, locked still. Any suggestions?
