No! You should dump it immediately. Don't run it and don't let it do
anything.

Registry cleaning programs are all snake oil. Cleaning of the
registry isn't needed and is dangerous. Leave the registry alone and
don't use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think, and
what vendors of registry cleaning software try to convince you of,
having unused registry entries doesn't really hurt you.

The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner erroneously
removing an entry you need is far greater than any potential benefit
it may have.

Let me point out that neither I nor anyone else who warns against the
use of registry cleaners has ever said that they always cause
problems. If they always caused problems, they would disappear from
the market almost immediately. Many people have used a registry
cleaner and never had a problem with it.

Rather, the problem with a registry cleaner is that it carries with it
the substantial risk of having a problem. And since there is no
benefit to using a registry cleaner, running that risk is a very bad
bargain.

... problems I had when only using Windows Defender and Norton...

    Hilary.S,

No wonder you had problems when running Windows Defender and Norton at the same time...

Of course you can install whatever you like on your computer but as it was already mentioned multiple times in this long thread: neither Microsoft nor any responsible member of Microsoft Community will ever suggest using a product such as RegCure Pro.

I am also a happy RegCure customer. My job demands that I look at a lot of spammy website and am constantly getting search hijackers and registry errors. After installing RegCure Pro 2 years ago, I haven't had any of the same problems I had when only using Windows Defender and Norton.  I cancelled Norton but kept RegCure Pro.  I have no complaints.

Regcure Pro costs  $19.97 USD with payment transactions handled by the vendor SafeCart.

The downloaded compressed install file was identified as a malware by 'Semantec Endpoint Protection' which the Semantec Endpoint immediately removed (the install file) on Jan 2015.

Unfortunately, 6 months earlier, because the software identified itself as a microsoft partner, Regcure Pro was installed on July 2014. Because of the intrusive character of the software ...(it launches its screens at every reboot), I deleted it from the pc soon after it was installed.

An untold issue is that the billing vendor invokes unauthorized charges to your paypal account  $19.97 every 6 months for the use of the license. I cancelled the recurring 6 month license subscription charges by visiting SafeCart.
