Nurifa,

Click Start (Press “Windows Key + Q” to open Charms Bar.)

Type: cmd

Right click on cmd in start menu and select 'Run as Administrator'

Type: net stop wuauserv

Hit Enter

Type: ren c:\windows\SoftwareDistribution softwaredistribution.old

Hit Enter

Type: net start wuauserv

Hit Enter

Type: exit

Hit Enter

Attempt to download updates

    Hey

    The first command opens up command promt

    The second command stops the windows update service

    The third command changes the folder SoftwareDistribution to SoftwareDistribution.old (so that the system will create a new/refresh the old folder)

    The fourth command starts windows update service again

    The thing is that windows isn't really all that smart and you can fool it to create new, crash-free folders and files by stuff like this.

    Boa noite, nao manj muito de compuitaçao, ams vou tentando, ainda nao consegui, passei o fixit50202 mas nao deu certo, o erro so acusa quando rodo windows Update diagnostic. desativei a instalaçao automatica, procurei as atualizaçoes, mas continua no mesmo.     valeu.
