Error “Windows\System32\Atibtmon.exe Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library”.

Original Title: just installed windows 8 pro

getting error   windows\system32\atibtmon.exe 

mircosoft visual c++ runtime library

How can I fix this? Any suggestions would be helpful.

    This sounds like exactly what's happening to my laptop when I unplug it. I just installed Windows 10 and then it started.

    I'd like to try your remedy. What i the "CCC?"

    Upgraded to windows 10 and Got the same error code. It is the AMD display Driver, Uninstall the driver...Reboot...Let Windows Self Install From The Webb and Your Good To Go. (2015 Driver Even Though AMD Doesn't Have One On There Site, Just The 2013).

    I FIXED IT!!!!!

    REMEMBER THE CATALYST CONTROL CENTER FOR ATI-RADEON 4250!?!?!?

    JSUT GO INTO IT, AND GO INTO THE POWER SECTION, THEN LOOK AT POWER PLAY, AND DISABLE VARI-BRIGHT CONTROLS!

    THEY DO NOT WORK PROPERLY ON WINDOWS 8

    For me a way to solve the problem was to go into the CCC, into Power/PowerPlay(tm) and uncheck the "Enable Vari-Bright(tm)".

    After clicking apply, there was no more error message when I plugged or unplugged my laptop.

    I don't event have CCC installed anymore. I think I need to find a way to delete everything that was left after I uninstalled CCC.
