After using this computer for 7 months (bought it new last November) and iTunes worked perfectly well until one day it stopped displaying the device option( the one that shows what iPhone or I pad..etc you got connected) and then you can sync the devices. but this went missing and iTunes could not re-download it.

I have contacted Apple support and gone through all options to remove and re-download iTunes.. but didn't' work. Each time, after downloading most of the programme - it stops to give the following message:

iTunes: Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."

Please help

I just found the correct order on the apple support website...https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204275

Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:

    1. iTunes
    2. Apple Software Update
    3. Apple Mobile Device Support
    4. Bonjour
    5. Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later). On some systems, iTunes might install two versions of Apple Application Support. This is expected. If both are present, be sure to uninstall both versions.

"Don't uninstall these components in a different order, or only uninstall some of them. Doing so might have unintended effects."

    Hi all

After uninstalling and cleaning up everything related to Apple, I installed this (special?) version:

    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1784?viewlocale=en\_US&locale=en\_US

And it works on my 64 bit Win 7 HP!!

    Good luck!

Tried everything - and then found this relating to older video cards and cha-ching - worked first time like a charm. Many thanks. It was driving me crazy.
