Why is my Action Center tray icon missing?

My Action Center tray icon is missing for a while and even after I right click and click properties on the tray, I can't turn it back on since it's grayed out. I tried methods of editing the registry, but no luck.

    You have to reset your pc...

    First . Go to settings

    1. Navigate to Settings. ...
    2. Select "Update & security"
    3. Click Recovery in the left pane. ...
    4. Click Get started under Reset this PC.
    5. Click either "Keep my files" or "Remove everything," depending on whether you want to keep your data files intact.
    6. Click on remove everything
    7. You see reset windows deive or c drive
    8. Click on reset c drive
    9. Reseting starts
    10. After1 hour your reset got complete
    11. Set up your pc
    12. And its done

    I tried it but my my action center option is showing total grey . i cant switch it on or off .

    Your could have Action Center disabled through Group Policy Settings.

    Is your computer a Home computer or one provided by your employer for your use?

    Its a home system that i am facing this problem. I was attacked with the so called Trotux virus after which this issue started.
