How to Remove Sendori Malware?

Hello,

Does anyone here know anything about Sendori?  According to some it is a tool used to correct spelling errors, according to others it is a form of anti-spyware, and according to others it is a homepage hijacker.  I believe what I have is the latter as it has changed my homepage and degraded my browser performance.  I have heard that it is undetectable by AVG and I just did a full scan using Windows Security essentials and didn't pick it up.  I tried uninstalling through Control Panels - -> Programs and Features but could not remove it.  I am hesitant to use more radical methods to remove it such as deleting executables and .dlls or doing a forced uninstall using Revo Uninstaller as I have heard sometimes if you ARE able to remove it it will change your DNS settings upon removal.  Does anyone have any ideas?

You might also try this web site - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com - contains details for many of the common infections, often immediately after they began to appear in the wild, and instructions are provided for how to remove the infections using their malware removal guides. They also have forums where you can seek help from people who specialize in malware removal.

    Thank you for your reply. I work in the IT department for a company and one of our employees recently began experiencing issues with Outlook. New emails weren't arriving. His phone received every new email, in the meantime, so it was obvious there was an issue with the PC.

    We found that the DNS entries in the IPV4 properties configuration screen were set to IP addresses registered to Sendori. We tried changing the addresses manually but they would repeatedly revert back to the Sendori DNS addresses.

    I found this thread when I googled the issue, which lead me to your post. After uninstalling the Sendori application and rebooting the machine, the issue went away.

    Ok, I made an account just to point out this BS right here.

    After "removing" the sendori application through control panel and going through the process that seems designed to cause frustration, I entered my network processes/resource monitor to do a routine check on things. That's when I saw a very deleted program doing some very real networking. I went back to check if I goofed and didn't remove every instance of the program, but sendori was completely removed from my control panels list of programs.  I decided to then do a simple C: search for anything sendori, what I found was upwards of 10 files all marked with my little virus. Upon trying to delete these file I got a series of suspicious error messages saying I could not delete them at this time. To close any gaps I must also add that these where not just empty files, a blatant .exe and several plugins were on that list.

    With that I have formed my judgement on this program.

    Sorry if I sound brash, I'm pretty damn mad right now.

    So whats the solution here. Nukro did you figure it out. I have uninstalled and deleted everything Sendori .. 2 times in the last 2 wks so I thought. But, know I click on a link on the homepage headline that I was trying to link to my website (I'm designing for Smugmug photo shopping cart site for a client ), and it sends me to the evil Sendori page and wants me to click on a link to redirect me.

    So I did everything that is recommended up to here, but as I stated I had already uninstalled it just yesterday and no Sendori anywhere .. then I did a search on my C: drive and low and behold Sendori App. installed along with 8 or so more ugly files and folders, and the reason I say ugly is because when I looked in my App folder there is no 86x folder anymore and I know that it was there before .. now I found it, it is with Sendori but is hiding someplace, but not sure where. As I am a Windows illiterate a Mac expert for 15yrs using since MacDraw now I'm all PC so please help me I don't know what to do!!

    I kinda get the creeps when a virus App talks to me Sendoi dude but if you can please explain why all these Sendori files and folders are hiding on my computer and how to rid my C: drive of them
