How to Remove Sendori Malware?

Hello,

Does anyone here know anything about Sendori?  According to some it is a tool used to correct spelling errors, according to others it is a form of anti-spyware, and according to others it is a homepage hijacker.  I believe what I have is the latter as it has changed my homepage and degraded my browser performance.  I have heard that it is undetectable by AVG and I just did a full scan using Windows Security essentials and didn't pick it up.  I tried uninstalling through Control Panels - -> Programs and Features but could not remove it.  I am hesitant to use more radical methods to remove it such as deleting executables and .dlls or doing a forced uninstall using Revo Uninstaller as I have heard sometimes if you ARE able to remove it it will change your DNS settings upon removal.  Does anyone have any ideas?

You might also try this web site - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com - contains details for many of the common infections, often immediately after they began to appear in the wild, and instructions are provided for how to remove the infections using their malware removal guides. They also have forums where you can seek help from people who specialize in malware removal.

    Looks like somehow this got installed on my pc. Followed all the recommendations from the previous posts and still have many issues. The biggest is system restore will no longer work even in safe mode.

    I've been trying to fix this for 5 hours now and looks like tomorrow I'll be reinstalling Windows 7. I would love to know how in the heck I got this as I haven't installed anything in over a week and up til today my pc was running great.

    Hey Turk,

    I'll have to go to their website and check it out, I can't believe their "disbelief" that their software could possibly be a problem.

    How could it be anything BUT a problem?

    I did the "uninstall" in program features (win7) it said it was gone and it was removed from the list, but that's all. My custom homepage still had every other word underlined with ads popping up, it was impossible to get around the page without tripping over one.

    So...after uninstalling it did nothing I started getting irritated and did a regedit, I removed about 45-50 entries for "Sendori" and "Application Sendori". That got rid of the underlining after a restart. Oh, I had to do a safe boot and delete the contents of all temp folders. The application was actually running from my profile's temp folder,and 1 more thing, Chrome was still looking for their DNS server, I had to go into that application and reset  everything..... I think that was it.

    I needed an anger management program by the time I was done, feeling better now though, it's been a few months.
