How to Remove Sendori Malware?

Hello,

Does anyone here know anything about Sendori?  According to some it is a tool used to correct spelling errors, according to others it is a form of anti-spyware, and according to others it is a homepage hijacker.  I believe what I have is the latter as it has changed my homepage and degraded my browser performance.  I have heard that it is undetectable by AVG and I just did a full scan using Windows Security essentials and didn't pick it up.  I tried uninstalling through Control Panels - -> Programs and Features but could not remove it.  I am hesitant to use more radical methods to remove it such as deleting executables and .dlls or doing a forced uninstall using Revo Uninstaller as I have heard sometimes if you ARE able to remove it it will change your DNS settings upon removal.  Does anyone have any ideas?

You might also try this web site - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com - contains details for many of the common infections, often immediately after they began to appear in the wild, and instructions are provided for how to remove the infections using their malware removal guides. They also have forums where you can seek help from people who specialize in malware removal.

    The sendori application we recently located on some of our campus machines caused big problems and changed DNS settings on computers causing certain web applications to be inaccessible from all browsers. We've had to remove it and block it from being installed on our entire campus.

    After digging around I found some info about this http://www.shouldiremoveit.com/Sendori-5010-program.aspx. Looks like it is indeed adware of some sort, not exactly sure how it ended up on my computer but must have been included with something I downloaded. I tried to  find out more from the company but its pretty much a dead end, just a bit of marketing info. If anyone knows how it gets installed that would be very helpful so I can watch out for stuff like this in the future.

    After I uninstalled Sendori then rebooted I ran a search on my computer to make sure that all traces were gone. I did find the Sendori app installer still on my C: drive and a few references in the temp folder but they were easy to remove.
