How to Remove Sendori Malware?

Hello,

Does anyone here know anything about Sendori?  According to some it is a tool used to correct spelling errors, according to others it is a form of anti-spyware, and according to others it is a homepage hijacker.  I believe what I have is the latter as it has changed my homepage and degraded my browser performance.  I have heard that it is undetectable by AVG and I just did a full scan using Windows Security essentials and didn't pick it up.  I tried uninstalling through Control Panels - -> Programs and Features but could not remove it.  I am hesitant to use more radical methods to remove it such as deleting executables and .dlls or doing a forced uninstall using Revo Uninstaller as I have heard sometimes if you ARE able to remove it it will change your DNS settings upon removal.  Does anyone have any ideas?

You might also try this web site - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com - contains details for many of the common infections, often immediately after they began to appear in the wild, and instructions are provided for how to remove the infections using their malware removal guides. They also have forums where you can seek help from people who specialize in malware removal.

    I simply used the free version of piriform's CCleaner to uninstall, worked fine.

    If Sendori is present in Add/Remove programs, but can't be removed, do this:

    1. Run msconfig. Look in both the Startup and Services tabs for any mention of Sendori or sndappv2. Uncheck them and apply.
    2. Run regedit. Search for any occurrence of "sendori" and delete them. If any key only contains Sendori stuff, delete them as well. This applies especially to the LSP stack entries which will be keys like "0001", "0002"...
    3. Obtain unlocker and delete Sendori folder from C;\Program Files(x86). It may request a reboot to do so.
    4. After rebooting, empty the recycle bin. Then run LSPFix. This will repair the LSP stack.  Be careful here. If the stack only needs to be reordered, (automatically) do it.  Beyond that, you can really make a mess!

    Sendori is gone and you can now access the internet normally.

    You're pretty funny, neither sendori or searchassist is listed in programs and features, your link to remove the program does nothing but tell  you it's gone, it isn't. I just removed over 50 registry entries sendori, applicationsendori, and a couple other disguises but it's still hijacking Chrome, it can't get into IE but text in my custom homepage is still underlined and flashes ads in my face. When you stop doing black installs you may come back to these forums and explain how to get this out
