Windows 8 Pro cannot boot - Error 0xC000021a

Hi

I upgraded my son's laptop from Windows 7 to Windows 8 Pro. I has been working fine for a few weeks. But now when booting It halts iwth the error code 0xc000021a. I have tried the following options

Refresh - this fails with the error 0xc000021a

System Restore - this fails with 0xc000021a

Safe mode boot does not work

I can start the cmd console

Any suggestions as to how to proceed?

    Hi guys,

    I ran into the same problem today: my NEW computer would not start and was constantly rebooting in loop. Every time it found same error. Here’s what I done and it helped (so far it’s been a day with no problems):

    1. When PC started rebooting again I continuously pressed F8. It did not opened any windows or gave me any options but for some reason it let the Windows 8 Pro to start as normal.

    2. I went to Control Panel > System and security > Find and fix problems > Find problems with Windows Update. When I completed “Find problems with Windows Update” my screen resolution went to 1024 x 740 (or something like that). I could not figure out what happened but when I went into “Devise Manager” it told me that the Driver for my GeForce GTX 650 has problems and may not be compatible.

    3. I went into NVIDIA website and downloaded the Driver for my graphic card. This time I made sure it is compatible with W8 Pro. I installed the driver and PC runs smoothly so far.

    Hope it helps. I’ve restarted my PC a few times now and so far it does not give me any errors.

    in fact, a High amount of BSODs is caused trough old/incompatible/faulty Drivers.

    Maybe this COULD be an Option, looking for Faulty Drivers and stuff...

    Many Companies dont Create Win8 Drivers from the scratch, they just Take their Win 7 Driver-Version and then they modify it.

    Why even reply if you agree with Microsoft Tech Support?  It just proves that you are as incompetent as they are!  This reboot loop is a friggin nightmare!!!!
