I HATE Windows 8. This is the worst OS ever invented.

How in the  does anybody operate in this environment. I now have 20 windows open and can't figure out how to close a damn thing. I know the weather in Paris and couldn't give a. This SUCKS!!! This is an improvement? Can I get Windows XP or 7 back? This SUCKS!!! I can't get around. I can't close a window. I can't update any of these stupid tiles. This SUCKS!!! Any advice from anybody else out there? Frustrated beyond belief, John

    this system just sucks.  I can't even play dvds that I could on Vista.  Other things I couldn't do on vista was some software that I needed to udate.  Could not do those things so I upgraded to 8.1.  I can't even watch  dvd.  I got ahold of geeksquad and they tried to fix it.  No luck at all.  One Geek told me that 8,1 didn't come with a dvd player.  He suppoded to have fixed it by loading VLC media player.  Using that has been a big pain.  I can't even figure out how to get to it and use it.  These is after I got help from the Geeksquad.  8 sucks and I can't  belive this but windows is dead with me.  I'm going to Apple, but it's gona hurt the budjuct.  Not as much as windows has caused me but at least I may not have so many darn problems.  I just can't believe windows sucks so bad and cost way to much money.

    OK ... I work in the software industry, particularly working with all kinds of different systems, and focused on a lot of UI stuff.  the bottom line with a UI is that it is supposed to make things fairly obvious to the end user ... i.e. when I am trying to accomplish something ... PARTICULARLY something that I find relatively easy to do up to that point in time ... it should be fairly easy (and obvious) in the UI presented.

    I switched back and forth between Apple iOS and Windows (specifically Win7) easily.

    So the new interface was ridiculous ... and it took me much longer than it should have to "find my way back" to where I was comfortable ... the "desktop".  I also find myself flailing around at trying to make my way back there when the goofy interface gets into certain "areas" ... particularly "full screen", working with images or videos or whatever.  It is highly annoying.  I also was not terribly please with my first foray into administrative stuff like user account settings and such.

    Read the book, AND the installed help files etc. Compared to XP, all other versions of Windows are sub-par to say the least. PS, I'm 59 years old, work in maintenance and NOT AN APP PERSON. APPS are for over simplified types. Drink the Kool-Aid, there's an APP for that.

    Nope, either Ken is getting paid by microsoft or he's trying to pick up a girl who (for some stupid reason) likes windows 8...  

    John understands the frustration that MILLIONS of us are experiencing with windows 8... I bought my wife a fantastic new computer for mothers day, and she doesn't like it all because of the **** operating system...

    The guys (and girls) at microsoft all deserve a big kick in the nuts for this piece of **** they've forced down the public's throat.

    P.S. I'm a 39 yr old computer engineer who has used every O.S since windows 3.1... Windows Vista was bad, but Windows 8 is HOT DIAPER STANK!!!
