Why are some images on my computer distorted while it isn't on other computers?

Image Example:http://images.wikia.com/smurfs/images/d/dd/Movie_Clumsy.png

This is one of the images that appears "distorted" on my computer screen. If by "distorted", I mean the colors are somewhat unnatural and leaked... kinda like a painting of some sort...

All of my computer equipments are working properly, and my screen doesn't show any distorted images except for some images like that given example on top.

I have also updated my NVIDIA driver to the latest version and even reinstall it just to make sure!

I am not so sure about this but... I think only PNG formats are distorted... but that is still unconfirmed...

Anyway, please help! Thank You!

I have found out that my web provider is compressing images on the net for faster browsing.

And to view and download web images successfully, I have found an alternative.

I simply download a "User Agent Switcher" add-on for Firefox and switched to "Googlebot 2.1". After that all images that were wrong on the net went right.

I am only posting this in case some other people are also experiencing my problem.

Thank you to the following for their efforts:

Vinod N

James.Burgess

And thank you Dissed for putting the most efforts in posting!

Again, Thanks guys!

    Hi,

    1.       Does this happen on all the pictures?

    2.       Are you using Internet explorer to download the picture?

    3.       Which application are you using to view the pictures?

As a work around you may try to download this picture in different location and check if it helps.

If you’re using Internet explorer then I would suggest you to follow the steps provided below.

Start Internet explorer with No add-ons mode and check.

Click on Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools and click on Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).

If the issue does not persist in Internet Explorer (No Add-ons), then it is one of the add-ons causing this issue. Please follow the steps below to locate the problem add-on low:

    a.     Restart IE normally.

    b.     Click on Tools.

    c.     Click on Manage Add-ons.

    d.     Disable the add-ons by clicking them one at a time to highlight them and then click on disable button.

    e.     Re-enable the add-ons one by one and check with which Add-on you get this error message.

    f.     Disable the Add-on causing the problem.

    Hope this information is helpful.

I have tried your solution, unfortunately it did not work...

Even disabling add-ons did not solve my image problem...

This does not happen on all pictures.

I am using IE, Firefox, Chrome, Opera to download images.

I used Windows Photo Viewer to view images.

But the issue is not about viewing, it's about downloading.

Whenever some images downloaded, it somehow becomes lower in file size than what it should be...
