How do I get the latest version of GenuineCheck.exe

From the following WEB page  http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/exe-validation.aspx?id=29156 I downloaded GenuineCheck.exe as required. 

However on executing the program I got the following error message

"This version of the Windows Genuine Advantage tool is no longer supported. Please download the newest version and ensure that your system clock is accurate"

Downloaded a copy from Microsoft but the tool requires Windows XP to load.

Is there a Windows 7 version?

So where do I get a copy of the latest version?

You MUST use the 32-bit version of IE9 - not the 64-bit version.

If you're having problem then, check validation at www.microsoft.com/genuine/diag and www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate

    For the SP1 update, did you make sure you had the prerequisite SSU installed? (KB976902) I've found that I've had to install it manually. It must also be installed by itself.

    No, I installed KB947821-v22-x64 manually and alone prior to installing KB976932-x64 (SP1). It's a French machine so maybe that's the reason for the different pre-installation environment.

    What Noel said. GenuineCheck doesn't work with Windows 7 x64 and the validate page does nothing more than turn a Flash or Silverlight loading wheel for hours.

    I can't do a diag at the moment because the troubled machine is stuck half way on an SP1 install. Personally, I doubt it will ever complete because I'm now on my 3rd attempt.
