Where's Chess Titans in Windows 8?

There doesn't seem to be any Microsoft games installed be default.

Hi RobbieCharles,

If you take a look in the Store, there are several Chess games available there.

You can go to your Start screen by either clicking in the bottom left hand corner or pressing the Windows key, then go to the Store app.

Once in the Store, you can then search for apps by pressing Windows key + C and click Search in the Charms bar, and search for Chess games from there.

Hope this helps!

You call me an MS apologist? I'm recommending against a Microsoft
product, and I'm an MS apologist?

But I now see that I repeated myself in this thread. I hadn't realized
that when I posted the message you replied to, and I apologize for
    doing that.

The Question is: :"Where is Microsoft Chess Titans for Windows 8?"

-Other games for Windows 8 does not answer the question.

-Other peoples opinions of how poorly a program Chess Titans is, does not answer the question.

That's correct. It doesn't answer the question asked. Instead it
suggests alternatives that the OP perhaps doesn't know about, and in
my view is better than trying to use the Microsoft product. And it's
only a suggestion. If the OP isn't interested in my suggestion, that's
    fine.

I too really enjoy Chess Titans as a minor distraction from time to time. I am only a novice player and have no plans to become a chess champion, and installing a top end chess program is a waste of time for me.

Your choice entirely. But if you are interested in becoming a better
player, I recommend that you practice against a program that plays
well. You can learn a lot from it.

And if you are not interested in improving, that's fine with me. Stay
with whatever you want; my comment is nothing but a suggestion.

Although these games were removed from Windows 8.08.1/10TP you can still download and play them. See the following link:  http://winaero.com/blog/get-windows-7-games-for-windows-10/  . I have install them and they work same as usual.

Hope this helps and if you need further assistance post and we will be glad to Help you.

I replaced my laptop recently, and was lucky to find one at Costco with Win7 (WOO HOO!)

Why cant I at least buy it.. im just not the same without my chess TITANS..i feel so ripped off

If you like Chess Titans, fine, but let me say that as far as I'm
concerned, it plays very poorly, and it's not at all a good choice of
Chess-playing programs. I've easily beaten it almost every time I've
    played it.

If you want to buy a good program, I recommend either of the following
    two:

    Deep Fritz
    Rybka.
