Where's Chess Titans in Windows 8?

There doesn't seem to be any Microsoft games installed be default.

Hi RobbieCharles,

If you take a look in the Store, there are several Chess games available there.

You can go to your Start screen by either clicking in the bottom left hand corner or pressing the Windows key, then go to the Store app.

Once in the Store, you can then search for apps by pressing Windows key + C and click Search in the Charms bar, and search for Chess games from there.

Hope this helps!

Ken Blake - Microsoft MVP since October 2003:

As I said,  I don't like Chess Titans at all, but if you really want

it back, you can get it into Windows 8. See

    http://www.howtogeek.com/122145/what-happened-to-solitaire-and-minesweeper-in-windows-8/

    Hi Ken.

Please stop posting a link about Solitaire and Minesweeper.  Those games do indeed work when copied from a WIN7 machine, however Chess Titans does not.  Please offer a real solution.

And  to tell the truth, I don't think people care about your opinion of what you don't like. The rest of us just want Chess Titans back: one click, no signin needed, and simple.  And I looked at Rybka and Fritz, and I thought my old Chessmaster program was better, quite honestly.

    To Microsoft´s Ken Blake

    Hi Ken!

Thanks for answering my question in such an unprofessional way

Your statement about Chess Titans being very poor is as good as me saying that you don´t know anything about playing chess! But that is your feeling as much as THIS is my feeling. If I am a car salesman, why would I want you to buy a Ford if you wish to have a Chevrolet? As far as I am concerned, and my 70 year old experience tells me that you have a long way to go to make such statements, Chess Titans is a Rolls Royce to many of us, compared to the rest of the games in the net which are nothing but Volkswagen. END OF CONVERSATION!

If you think I'm a Microsoft employee, I'm not. And I know nothing

about why Microsoft makes the decisions it does.

    Dear Mr. Blake:

Thank you for your prompt reply. Since this site is answer.microsoft.com, I thought you might work for the company. I guess you're just a Most Valuable Player? At any rate, since the site is associated with MS, perhaps some corporate flunky will one day monitor the site and discover there are those of us who are upset over the loss of Chess Titans. It won't do any good, of course.

I looked at the howtogeek site and really feel the same as RobynStephens feels about the site. In the meantime I guess I'll stick with "The Chess LV.100" game.
